Hello! My name is Emily McNeill and I am the principal at Benhaven Elementary. I am super proud to be a bulldog. This is my community school. I live in this district and both of my own personal children attended Benhaven. I am very proud to call Benhaven home! This is my 20th year in education. I taught kindergarten and first grade and served as an instructional coach before becoming an administrator. My favorite thing about being a principal is being able to stay in close contact with students, parents, and teachers.
Benhaven definitely has a family feel. We all work together to make sure your child has a safe and successful school year. My office door is always open. I am willing to listen, offer support, and help whenever I can. I look forward to working with you to ensure your student has a great school year. Hello I am Carolyn McKoy and I proudly serve at Benhaven Elementary School as one of the assistant principals. I have sixteen years of experience in the field of education, having worked as a kindergarten and first-grade teacher as well as a teaching assistant. Before moving into my current position, I was a teacher at Benhaven for four years. Additionally, my own children have been Benhaven Bulldogs.
To support every student's achievement, I think it's important to collaborate with parents, teachers, and students. Benhaven works hard to maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere across the school community. I am committed to supporting Benhaven's mission and encourage you to reach out to me if needed. My name is Antoinette Bell, and I’m honored to serve as one of the Assistant Principals of Benhaven Elementary School. I bring over 23 years of experience in education serving as teacher assistant, bus driver, teacher, and assistant principal.
Outside of work, I’m a proud parent of two wonderful adult children who continue to inspire me every day.
One of the greatest joys of my role is seeing students every day and being a support system to staff. Throughout my career the highlight of my work days have been walking the halls and greeting students and staff to help set a warm, welcoming tone for the day. I believe that strong schools are built on relationships, teamwork, and a shared vision. I’m excited to continue that tradition here at Benhaven.
